The launch of Kate Moss the book was bound to be a glamorous affair and as designer Rifat Ozbek transformed an empty building in St James St into a decadent 1970s inspired den for the evening where did he call on to find suitable props – Astor Place of course. We were more than happy to lend our pieces for the occasion and to share a sneaky peak of what was chosen!
Amongst the selection were our sexy black velvet love chairs, a pair of original 1970s Milo Baughman swivel chairs with rose bronzed base, delicately reupholstered in oyster white velvet. A striking iconic 1970s Multi-faceted sculptural mirror and a pair of uber fashionable brass palm tree lamps.
One of the many highlights of our vintage movie poster collection

The sun is shining, Chelsea Flower Show is in full bloom, the streets are adorned in preparation for the Queens Jubilee and a frenzy of celebrations are building for the 2012 Olympics. It’s an exciting time for London and for us at Astor Place.
Fuelled by this excitement we have selected just a few of our favourite pieces to share with you. Do keep an eye on our 1st Dibs page and indeed our website www.astorplacelondon.com as things unfold.
Here at Astor place we are tempted to take inspiration from this beautiful shot and wear all our jewellery at once!
